With so many forms of dental care to consider, it can be hard to know where you should start at your first visit. At Oasis Family Dentistry, we want to make your visit as productive as possible. If you have questions about our services or our dental office in general, we would love to answer them. Below, you will find a handful of some of the most common ones we hear on a regular basis.
We recommend that patients visit the dental office for a routine checkup once every six months. This gives us a chance to confirm any underlying dental issues that you may not have recognized yourself and confirm that your at-home care is sufficient. Keep in mind that those with ongoing gum therapy will be asked to visit more often, generally every three to four months.
We absolutely can! Not only do we offer traditional solutions like bridges and dentures to replace any number of teeth, but you can also get your teeth replaced via dental implants. All of our restorations are designed with optimal function and esthetics in mind, so you can not only look confident when smiling and eating your favorite foods but feel confident as well.
We typically use dental fillings and dental crowns to restore teeth, both of which are made from tooth-colored materials so you don’t have to worry about sacrificing your appearance. We can also perform root canal therapy for those suffering from severely broken or damaged teeth. After your treatment, we will make sure to follow up with you to ensure your tooth remains protected for many years.
We’re happy to see your family as well as work with a pediatric dentist offsite to provide you care. Whether your child is getting used to coming to the dentist or you have an older family member who has not had a visit in a long time, we look forward to serving patients young and old. We can also refer you to a local pediatric dentist if you have very young children in need of specialized dental care.
There are many ways to enhance your overall smile. Tooth-colored fillings restore the functionality and appearance of your smile, while porcelain veneers can cover multiple imperfections (chips, cracks, discolorations) in just two appointments. Of course, cosmetic bonding allows for quick touch-ups without breaking the bank, and whitening can transform your smile in just one hour through in-office treatment. If you are concerned about your tooth enamel, you’ll find our Lumineers to be an exceptional compromise that does not require removal of enamel to complete.
If you are experiencing a dental emergency, you should call our dental office right away. Whether your tooth is broken as a result of an injury or because plaque and tartar got the best of it, we want to get you out of discomfort as soon as possible. The last thing we want is for you to leave the dental office while you’re still in pain, and the emergency room is far less likely to be able to help in most instances. If your jaw is broken or you are bleeding heavily from the mouth, get to the emergency room first, then schedule a visit with our dental office.
